The economics are different for you

A cultural association is not a business with margins. Every dollar taken at the door funds the hall, the caterer, the performers. When a ticketing platform takes a per-ticket cut and a processor takes a percentage on top, that money comes out of the event itself — and the committee feels it directly.

Most associations already handle this by taking Zelle. The problem was never willingness; it was that a hundred transfers landing as names and amounts is a genuinely hard afternoon for whoever holds the treasurer role this year.

What a season actually looks like

One platform for the whole calendar, not one per event.

1

Festival ticketing

Adult, child, senior and family tiers, per-day pricing for multi-day events, and sponsor packages that include tickets.

2

Membership dues

Annual or lifetime memberships, with members automatically getting their entitled tickets at member pricing.

3

Door check-in

Scan a QR at the entrance. Staff see the name, what they paid for, and whether it’s settled.

4

Donations & employer matching

Take donations with tax receipts, and let donors route gifts through their employer’s matching programme.

5

Volunteers

Assign jobs to committee members by email. They tap Done. No account, no app.

6

The headcount answer

A summary email tells the caterer how many chose vegetarian, before anyone has to ask.

Why the free nonprofit plan is genuinely free

Unlimited transactions, no percentage, no monthly fee, and — unlike some fundraising platforms — we do not ask your donors for a tip at checkout. Asking someone who just gave $100 to give a little more to the software is a cost, it just isn’t billed to you.

One requirement, stated plainly: your organisation’s Zelle must be registered to an email address, not a phone number. Many associations set theirs up with a treasurer’s mobile years ago and have to change it. Worth checking before you plan around this.

Common questions

We change treasurers every year. Is that a problem?

No — that’s an argument for it. Everything lives in one account with its own records, so a handover is a password change rather than an archaeology project.

Can we take card payments too?

Yes, through your own Stripe account. Both prices are shown at checkout and the attendee chooses.

Do we need to be a registered 501(c)(3)?

For the free unlimited nonprofit plan, yes — and you can submit your EIN to get a verified badge on your checkout pages. Unregistered associations use the same product on the normal plans.

What about sponsors?

Local businesses can sponsor your event through AxeFee and you keep half of what they pay. Their offer appears on your checkout and receipt pages.

Keep 100% of what you collect

No percentage fees, ever. Free for 25 payments a month, $29/month flat above that — and free with unlimited payments for nonprofits.
